Executive Decision.

F the logical thing to do.
(I was never logical to begin with.)

I'm going to take the jump.

Just discovered a band called Saint Bernadette, and I'm in love.
Yay for HypeMachine!!

The ocean breathe is salty

Impromptu drive to the beach at 3 in the morning. Cheshire-cat-smile moon in the company of twinkling stars above. Trekking through sand and jagged rocks to get to the end of a jetty. Screaming our heads off to the sea. Embracing the hypnotic roar of infinite waves. Watching the sun crack through rosy clouds. Being in the presence of some of the most amazing people I've ever met... I can't believe I haven't done this before.

The warm muted palette of the rising sun along the shoreline is breathtaking. For a moment, nothing really mattered. Not school, not frustrations, not the unbeknownst future. Being out there, taking in the splendor of nature... It really puts into perspective what's important. A humbling experience, really. I'm just a tiny entity  amidst this vast greatness where the sky meets the sea...

Moments like these, you keep for life.

Farewell 2007. You were integral to everything I am now. I made decisions I wouldn't have normally made. I saw things that inspired me and pushed me to be better. I re-kindled an old friendship that blossomed into something I would have never expected. In a nutshell, I found meaning, fullfilment, and have felt so much love and happiness.
2007, you were a prelude of things to come.

2008. The fruits of my labor will be revealed. I rang in the new year, again, in another city. I was away from home, although in good company. I was out of my element yet comfortable in it. I spent it with someone who means the world to me, and I met (and rocked out with) some awesome people. Hopefully, this reflects upon my year... Being engaged with things (and people) that are meaningful to me, leaving this nest I've made in Houston and exploring what the world has to offer... all while having a good time.

I also played a ridiculous amount of Rock Band, and if that's any consolation to what my year will be like, then OMG. Bring it on. Give me roadies and millions of adoring fans. I want to rock all your faces off!!!!
lol

Will Design for Live Music

Seriously.

Listening to you perform Debussy was just amazing.
I'm moved, and I'd gladly design for you anytime.

I need more live music in my life.

It is the single thing that touches me in the most profound way... that not much else can compare to. It's the one memory I have from performing that I miss immensely. Being engulfed in sound... harmony... the crescendo and decrescendo.. the wave of emotion one gets. It's amazing.

grand piano + classical pieces = free work
